Zarivar Lake

Zarivar (or Zeribar) Lake is 5 kilometers (3 miles) long and 1.6 kilometers (1 mile) long and while its water levels depend on the amount of rain or snow fall, it is 5.5 meters (18 feet) deep at most. Situated 3 kilometers (1.8 miles) west of Marivan in the Province of Kurdistan, the fresh water lake is covered with ice for the most part of winter.
