Kuh_e Bafgh

Aimed at protecting animals and preventing rangeland degradation, this 88527 ha area was designated protected area in 1996. Located in Yazd Province, this mountainous region has sparse plains and rolling hills. Some of the main plant species are juniper, Turk terebinth pistache, mountain almond, tamarisk, saxaul, bean caper, soda plant, poppy mallow, acanthofyllum, wormwood, prickly thrift, saltwort, camel's thorn.
